We are extremely excited to announce the launch of our Rainbow Ambassador program at Infinite Spirit competitions!

Under the program, we will have selected "Rainbow Ambassadors" as part of our staff at all of our events. These staff members are there to assist all athletes, with a focus on supporting members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

What will they do?

Our Ambassadors will be available to answer questions, provide help, and give overall support to our athletes. If anyone is feeling discriminated against, or needs someone to talk to, they are here to listen and assist with no judgement.

How can they be identified?

Chosen staff members will be wearing our Rainbow Infinite Spirit logo. If you see a friendly face wearing one of our pins, be sure to say hi!

Why are we doing this?

The world of dance and cheer has always been a safe haven for anyone identifying as part of the LGBTQIA+ community. We want to go above and beyond this and show our true support for this community, and make everyone feel truly welcome at our events. We have always had the priority that our events be a safe space where our athletes can thrive and enjoy themselves to the fullest. A 100% discrimination free zone!

What else will the program do?

Our goal is to also fight against discrimination within the cheer and dance community on all levels. We are already partnered with the Australian Cheer Sport Alliance, which has dedicated anti-discrimination guidelines for transgender and gender diverse athletes. We want to continue to push for policies like these, in a hope to bring equality to all within our sport.

We also aim to provide education and resources for coaches and programs so we can spread the love where it matters most.

How can I get involved?

We will be selling Rainbow pins and stickers at the Merchandise stand at our events. Get yours and wear it with pride! Make sure to take photos in your badge to show your support, tag us, and use the hashtag #ivegotinfinitepride

We welcome any and all feedback for this program. We hope it is something we can grow and develop along with the support of our peers from the Cheer and Dance community, and make it truly something we can all be proud of.

We can't wait to put this program into action, and create an even more positive environment for our participants!

Program Updates:

June 26th, 2022

After a wave of negative media for the inclusion of Trans athletes in sport, and exclusions already appearing in Swimming and Rugby League, we would like to confirm that Transgender and Gender Diverse athletes will ALWAYS be welcome at our competitions.
